Crock Pot Apricot Chicken Recipe

Report
This Crock Pot Apricot Chicken features boneless chicken thighs slow-cooked with onions, apricot preserves, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and ground ginger. The resulting dish is tender and coated with a sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy glaze. Finishing it under the broiler adds a caramelized surface for extra texture and flavor, making it a practical dish for hands-off cooking.

Description

The recipe uses chicken thighs cooked slowly in a mixture of apricot preserves, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and ground ginger for a balanced sweet and savory flavor. The onions soften and infuse the sauce as the chicken simmers on low heat for 6 to 8 hours, ensuring tender, juicy meat.

After slow cooking, the chicken is briefly broiled to create a browned glaze on the exterior, enhancing both appearance and taste. This finishing step adds a subtle crispness over the glossy sauce.

Serve immediately after broiling while the glaze is warm and sticky. This dish pairs well with rice or vegetables to complete the meal. The slow cooker method offers convenience for a flavorful chicken entrée with minimal active cooking time.
