Crock Pot Candied Yams

Make Crock Pot Candied Yams this holiday to save oven space. The slow cooker cooks the candied yams and keeps them warm while serving.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 7-8 yam medium sized, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 tbsp butter salted
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Place  yams into the slow cooker
  2. In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Sprinkle over the yams.
  4. Slice the butter and place slices over the yams.
  5. Now cover the slow cooker, and set on low.
  6. Let the candied yams cook 3 hours.
  7. Be sure to stir halfway in the cooking process.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
