Crock Pot Caramel Apple Rolls Recipe
Description
The recipe starts by placing chopped cinnamon rolls in a slow cooker, topped with peeled, diced apples. A custard mixture made from eggs, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon is poured over the layers, infusing the dish with moisture and spice. The remaining cinnamon rolls are added on top, then drizzled with caramel icing from the cinnamon roll package.
Cooking on low heat for 2.5 to 3 hours allows the rolls to bake gently while the apples soften, resulting in a warm, gooey dessert with tender pieces of roll and sweet apple. A final drizzle of caramel icing before serving adds extra sweetness and visual appeal.
This crock pot method provides a hands-off approach to creating a comforting dessert that combines the convenience of pre-made cinnamon rolls with homemade elements.
