Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breast boneless skinless
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 zucchini (sliced and cut in half)
  • 2 cups Parmesan Cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a crock pot. Season it with the salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and minced garlic. Top with the diced onions.
  2. Pour the marinara sauce on top of the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 5-7 hours or on high for 2.5-3.6 hours until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
  4. Stir in the sliced zucchinis. Cover and cook on high for 60 minutes until the zucchinis are tender.
  5. Top the meal with the shredded parmesan cheese. Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted.
  6. Then the chicken is ready to serve and enjoy!

  • We love serving this over pasta. 
  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
