Crock Pot Chicken Wings

These Crock Pot Chicken Wings are slow-cooked in a Buffalo wing sauce made with brown sugar, onion, and garlic, resulting in tender wings saturated with spicy-sweet flavor. The wings finish under a broiler for a crispy exterior that contrasts the juicy interior. Serving with celery, carrots, and ranch or blue cheese dressing adds a fresh and creamy balance to the dish.

Description

Crock Pot Chicken Wings combine a flavorful buffalo sauce with slow cooking to tenderize the wings thoroughly. Fresh or frozen wings are coated in a sauce featuring buffalo sauce, brown sugar, diced onions, and minced garlic, which infuses them during the cooking process. After slow cooking, the wings are broiled while brushed with extra sauce to create a lightly browned and crispy skin. The method ensures the interior meat remains juicy and fully cooked.

The wings deliver a mix of spicy, sweet, and tangy flavors from the sauce, while the broiling adds a pleasing crisp texture to the skin. The included raw carrots and celery sticks serve as crunchy palate cleansers alongside a ranch or blue cheese dip for cooling contrast.

This recipe fits well as a casual appetizer or game day snack. The wings can be cooked from frozen for convenience, though any excess cooking liquid is discarded. Broiling at the end is key to achieving the classic crispy wing texture.

Additional tips mention discarding the liquid released when cooking frozen wings and brushing the wings before and after broiling for extra flavor and moisture. Nutritional information refers only to the buffalo wings, excluding vegetables and dips.
