Crock Pot Chili

Report
Crock Pot Chili is a slow-cooked ground beef chili that incorporates crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, and kidney beans. Cooking in a crock pot allows the flavors to meld deeply over several hours, resulting in a rich, hearty chili with a well-rounded, savory taste. It is topped with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream for added creaminess and served as a classic chili main course.

Description

Start by browning ground beef and draining excess grease before placing it in the crock pot. Combine crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, garlic salt, chopped onions, and kidney beans, stirring all together. Slow cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, allowing the mixture to develop a thick, flavorful consistency. The chili seasoning and garlic salt impart a traditional chili spice blend.

When ready to serve, it is common to top the chili with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream, balancing the savory spice with creamy richness. This chili makes a substantial meal, ideal for a family dinner or meal prep.

Leftovers should be refrigerated in an airtight container and can safely be stored for up to 5 to 7 days.
