Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole

Report
The Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole uses canned cinnamon rolls layered in a slow cooker with a custard of eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. This combination bakes into a soft, sweet casserole with swirled pockets of cinnamon and a rich, custardy texture. Drizzling the included icing packets before and after cooking adds additional sweetness and moisture to complement the cake-like rolls.

Description

This recipe begins by cutting canned cinnamon rolls into quarters and layering them in a coated crock pot. A mixture of eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon is whisked and poured over the first layer of rolls before topping with the remaining pieces. One icing packet is drizzled over the top before cooking on low for about 2 to 2.5 hours. After cooking, the second icing packet is added for extra sweetness and glaze.

The slow cooking method gently sets the egg mixture, creating a custard-like base that surrounds the cinnamon rolls, softening them while maintaining their shape. The end result is a moist, sweet casserole with distinct cinnamon flavor, enhanced by the maple syrup and vanilla. The initial icing provides moisture during cooking, and the final drizzle offers a glossy finish.

Serving warm with a glass of milk makes this casserole a comforting breakfast or brunch option with manageable preparation time.
