Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole

This slow cooker casserole transforms canned cinnamon rolls into a soft, custardy breakfast bake with a sweet, cinnamon-sugar coating and a tender, rich interior soaked in a maple-egg custard. The slow cooking allows the rolls to puff up and soak in the combined sugars and syrup, delivering a comforting and indulgent brunch option that stays warm for serving. The addition of the icing both during and after cooking makes the casserole generously sweet and creamy.

Description

The Crock Pot Cinnamon Roll Casserole uses quartered refrigerated cinnamon rolls mixed with granulated and brown sugar and cinnamon, all coated evenly. A mixture of eggs, milk, and maple syrup is poured over this base and gently stirred in to ensure even soaking into the rolls. Cooking low and slow for several hours in a greased slow cooker allows the rolls to puff up and absorb the custard flavor, creating a soft, tender texture.

Once cooked, the casserole is topped with the icing from the cinnamon roll cans, adding a creamy sweet layer that complements the warm cinnamon spices. The slow cooker ensures the dish stays warm for serving, making it suitable for a relaxed breakfast or brunch.

This casserole is straightforward to prepare, relying on quality canned cinnamon rolls and careful mixing of sugars and syrup. It can be served directly from the slow cooker in a warm, gooey state, inviting spoonfuls of sticky, cinnamon-sweet bites.
