Crock Pot Cream Cheese Ham & Potato Soup
Description
Starting with water and chicken bouillon to create a broth, this soup incorporates softened cream cheese to enrich the base and provide creaminess. The addition of fully cooked, cubed ham and thawed hash brown potatoes adds protein and body to the soup. Chopped onion, garlic powder, and dill weed contribute savory and herbal notes.
Cooking on high or low in the crock pot gently combines these ingredients over several hours, allowing the potatoes to soften and the soup flavors to meld fully. The cream cheese smoothens the broth and creates a thick, comforting consistency without heavy cream.
This soup is best served warm and makes for a filling meal on its own or paired with bread. Its preparation in the crock pot allows for convenient hands-off cooking with minimal prep.
