  • 3 chicken breast filleted into 6 pieces, boneless skinless
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 6 oz swiss cheese sliced

Instructions

  1. Place the onions in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Place the chicken on top.
  3. Seasoning with salt and thyme.
  4. Pour the Balsamic and the broth over the top.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. 30 minutes before serving, top with the sliced Swiss cheese.
  7. Cook for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Spoon the onion mixture on top of the chicken and serve.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.
  • If Vidalia onions are unavailable, use other sweet onions as substitutes.
