Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Description
This recipe starts by peeling and chunking russet potatoes, then placing them in a crock pot with half the milk, butter pieces, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Cooking on high for several hours softens the potatoes gently. After cooking, the potatoes are mashed directly or removed to a bowl for mashing with an electric mixer, gradually adding remaining milk to reach the preferred texture. The result is creamy mashed potatoes infused with garlic and butter flavor.
The slow cooker method is useful when you want to prepare mashed potatoes without watching a stovetop. It pairs well with a variety of main dishes and can be served immediately after mashing for best texture.
