Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast

The Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast is a slow-cooked beef dish seasoned with a mix of dried herbs and spices, enhanced by butter and pepperoncini peppers. The long cooking time results in tender, shreddable meat fused with tangy and savory flavors. The peppers and their juice add a distinctive tang and subtle heat, enriching the roast’s depth.

Description

This pot roast recipe uses a 3-5 pound boneless chuck roast slow cooked with a spice blend of dried minced onion, parsley, onion powder, dill weed, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and beef base. Butter is placed on top of the seasoned roast along with whole pepperoncini peppers and their juice. Cooking on low for 8 hours breaks down the meat's connective tissue, producing tender, shreddable beef infused with the peppers’ tangy, mildly spicy flavor.

The roast can be shredded and served with or without the peppers, making it a versatile, flavorful main course that pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or bread to soak up the juices. The slow cooking method keeps the meat moist and tender.

This dish does not require additional preparation steps or toppings, making it a straightforward but flavorful slow cooker recipe. Nutritional values are approximations, so adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
