Crock Pot Pizza Soup Recipe

Report
Crock Pot Pizza Soup brings together Italian sausage, tomato components, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese in a slow-cooked tomato broth seasoned with garlic and Italian herbs. The soup offers the familiar flavors of pizza in a comforting, hearty form with tender sausage bits and melty cheese throughout.

Description

This recipe starts by browning Italian sausage and draining excess grease before combining it in a slow cooker with tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, pepperoni, chopped onion, and red bell pepper. Cooking slowly for several hours blends the flavors deeply and softens the vegetables and meats, creating a stew-like consistency.

Near the end, shredded mozzarella cheese is stirred in and melted to add creaminess and a notable cheese presence reminiscent of pizza toppings. The soup is served hot, often accompanied by bread to complete the meal.

According to the notes, leftovers can be refrigerated for up to five days, and the sausage can be substituted with ground beef. This flexibility allows adaptation based on preference or available ingredients.
