Crock Pot Pork Chops with Mushroom Soup Recipe
Description
Crock Pot Pork Chops with Mushroom Soup combines seared pork chops with softened onions, slow-cooked in a creamy sauce made from canned cream of mushroom and cream of celery soups. The chops are first browned to develop flavor and then transferred to a slow cooker where the soup mixture is poured over to gently cook the pork over several hours. Seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper enhances the overall taste without overpowering the subtle meat flavors.
The slow cooker method yields tender, juicy pork chops immersed in a thick, creamy mushroom gravy. This approach simplifies hands-on cooking and develops rich, savory flavors as the ingredients meld during the low and slow cooking process.
Serving suggestions include spooning the mushroom gravy over pork chops with sides like mashed potatoes or white rice, which absorb the sauce well and complement the dish's creamy texture.
Optional substitutions include using cream of chicken soup. Boneless pork chops cook faster due to their thinner cut. Employing a crock pot liner can ease cleanup after cooking.
