Crock Pot Pork Loin
Description
This recipe places a pork loin in a crock pot with a mixture of sliced onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, chicken broth, ground ginger, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper poured over it. Cooking on low for four to six hours or on high for two to three hours tenderizes the meat to an internal temperature of 165°F. After cooking, the pork is sliced to serve.
A gravy is prepared by whisking cornstarch with cold water and heating the strained cooking liquid separately until thickened. The gravy is poured over the pork slices, enriching the dish with a flavorful sauce that carries the seasoning elements.
The cooking method ensures the pork remains moist and tender, with layered flavors from the marinade ingredients. The dish can be served for family meals, offering a hearty and satisfying protein option.
Leftover pork loin can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for up to five days. Cooking on low is preferred for flavor development, though high heat is an option for shorter cooking time.
