Crock Pot Pork Loin

This Crock Pot Pork Loin recipe features a seasoned pork loin browned before slow cooking with onions, apples, and a flavorful broth including soy sauce and apple cider vinegar. The result is tender pork accompanied by soft, cooked apples and onions, with an optional gravy made from the cooking juices. The slow cooker method ensures the meat is moist and infused with savory and tangy flavors.

Description

The preparation starts by seasoning the pork loin with a mix of garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper, followed by browning the meat on all sides to develop flavor. The pork is placed into the crockpot along with quartered apples and onions, and a liquid mixture of chicken stock, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar is poured over. The slow cooker cooks the pork on low for about eight hours, allowing the meat to become tender and the apples and onions to soften and absorb savory notes.

After cooking, the pork rests before slicing and serving with the apples and onions. For extra richness, the cooking liquid can be thickened into a gravy either in the crockpot or on the stove by mixing some of the liquid with cornstarch and cooking until thickened.

This method is practical for hands-off cooking while delivering a flavorful and moist pork loin with complementary fruit and onions, suitable for a hearty meal.
