Crock pot Turkey Chili

Report
This Crock pot Turkey Chili combines ground turkey with shredded zucchini, onion, kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, and a blend of chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and black pepper. Simmered slowly with chicken broth in a crock pot, the chili develops a hearty flavor and thick texture without much active cooking time.

Description

Starting with browning ground turkey in olive oil adds a savory base and caramelized flavor. The turkey is then transferred to a crock pot along with shredded zucchini for moisture and nutrition, diced onion for sweetness, kidney beans for substance, crushed tomatoes for body, and spices including chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and black pepper for warmth and depth. Chicken broth provides liquid for slow cooking.

The chili cooks on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3 hours, allowing flavors to meld and ingredients to soften for a comforting, mildly spiced meal. This hands-off approach yields a thick, flavorful chili with tender turkey and vegetables. It can be served with typical chili toppings and is suitable as a main dish for casual dinners.

Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to five days in an airtight container, making it convenient for meal prep or reheating.
