Crockpot chili cheese dip
Description
Crockpot chili cheese dip is prepared by layering cubed Velveeta cheese with canned chili con carne, which contains no beans, and chopped canned green chiles in a slow cooker. Cooking on either low or high heat until fully melted lets the cheese soften and mix with the chili’s spicy and savory elements. Stirring occasionally helps maintain a smooth texture.
The resulting dip provides a warm, cheesy base with a mild chili heat, making it suitable for serving with tortilla chips or vegetables at gatherings. The use of Velveeta ensures a creamy consistency, while the green chiles add a slight tang and gentle spice.
This method requires little hands-on time and relies on the crockpot's even heat, making it convenient for entertaining or making ahead.
