Crockpot Little Smokies

Report
This Crockpot Little Smokies recipe combines bite-sized smoked sausages with a simple blend of BBQ sauce and grape jelly. The slow cooking method in a crockpot blends the sweet and tangy flavors into the sausages, yielding a saucy, tender appetizer or snack. The grape jelly adds a subtle sweetness that balances the smoky and savory notes of the little smokies, making them easy to serve at gatherings or casual meals.

Description

Crockpot Little Smokies are prepared by placing small smoked sausages in a slow cooker and covering them with a mixture of BBQ sauce and grape jelly. The slow cooking process gently heats the sausages while the sauce ingredients meld together, producing a glossy, flavorful coating that clings to each piece. This method requires minimal active cooking time, allowing the ingredients to develop a harmonious sweet-and-savory flavor profile.

The result is a warm, tender sausage dish with a sauce that has both smoky depth and a jelly-sweet undertone. It’s ideal as a party appetizer or a comforting small plate. Serving is straightforward, often directly from the crockpot to keep the dish warm through the event.

This recipe uses only three ingredients and can be easily doubled or adjusted. The balance between BBQ sauce and grape jelly can be adjusted to taste for more tang or sweetness.
