Crockpot Meatballs in Marinara
Description
This recipe combines lean ground beef with Italian breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and seasonings such as Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. The mixture is formed into 24 medium meatballs, about 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter.
Meatballs are nestled into a slow cooker coated with marinara sauce and cooked on low for four hours or high for two and a half hours. During cooking, the meatballs become tender, and the flavors meld into the sauce, producing a savory, herbaceous dish with a classic Italian profile.
This dish is versatile, suitable for serving over pasta, polenta, or alongside crusty bread. The slow cooker approach frees time for other tasks, and the quantity is sufficient for a family meal or leftovers.
