Crockpot Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Description
The Crockpot Sausage Breakfast Casserole features frozen hash browns combined with diced smoked sausage and onion, layered with cheddar cheese and a sauce made from condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk. Cooking this casserole on high in a slow cooker for about three hours allows the potatoes to soften fully and the flavors to integrate. The thyme and parsley sprinkled on top provide subtle herbal accents. The texture is creamy and tender with a cheesy finish on top from the grated cheddar, balancing the heartiness of the sausage and potatoes.
The casserole is suitable for serving warm directly from the slow cooker, making it handy for weekend breakfasts or relaxed brunch gatherings. It pairs well with fresh fruit or a simple green salad if a lighter contrast is desired.
