  • ½ onion sliced ½" thick
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning or to taste
  • fresh herbs a few sprigs

Instructions

  1. In the bottom of crock pot, layer onion, chicken breast, seasonings and herbs. Add broth.
  2. Cook on high for 2 ½ - 3 hours (or on low for 5-6 hours).
  3. Using 2 forks, shred chicken. Stir in some of the juices/broth.

Notes

  • Chicken breast sizes can vary; adjust cooking time as needed to reach 165°F internal temperature.
  • Add some cooking juices back into shredded chicken to keep it moist before serving.
