Description

Ingredients
- 500 g / 1lb mushrooms cleaned
- 1 cup flour
- 3 egg beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano dried
- salt
- black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the sour cream dipping sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp chives chopped
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper and place in a shallow bowl.
- Beat the eggs into a second shallow bowl.
- In a third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the garlic powder and oregano and season with salt and pepper.
- Coat the mushrooms first in seasoned flour, then in beaten egg and finally in bread crumbs.
- Place the crumbed mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer then drizzle with olive oil. Place the basket in the air fryer.
- Cook at 200ºC/390ºF for 10 minutes then turn over and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the mushrooms are crisp and golden.
- To make the dipping sauce, stir together the sour cream, chopped chives, garlic powder and lemon juice then season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve the mushrooms with the dipping sauce.
