Crusty Garlic Herb Bread is an easy no-knead yeast bread recipe made with pantry staples, olive oil, and fresh rosemary, thyme, and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups water 110-115 degrees, warm
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • 2 teaspoons thyme minced, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary minced, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the yeast and warm water, stirring well. Let sit for 5 minutes, until foamy.
  2. Add in the flour, sugar, garlic, thyme, rosemary, olive oil and salt, stirring well until shaggy and combined.
  3. Grease an 9x13 baking pan and add in the dough.
  4. Cover, let rise in warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough, then reshape into a ball and cover again.
  6. Let rise for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  8. Add a pan of water to the bottom rack.
  9. Sprinkle the top with flour, bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.
