Cucumber Bruschetta
Description
Cucumber Bruschetta features diced fresh tomatoes and English cucumber mixed with minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, and red wine vinegar to create a light, bright topping. This mixture delivers refreshing textures and herbal notes balanced by a tangy vinaigrette-like dressing. The bread component is a baguette sliced and lightly toasted under the broiler, then rubbed with fresh garlic to impart a mild pungency.
The contrast between the crisp vegetable topping and the warm toasted bread offers a pleasant texture combination suitable as an appetizer or light snack. The assembly is final just before serving to keep the bread from becoming soggy. This bruschetta is simple yet flavorful, relying on fresh ingredients and a straightforward preparation method.
