Cucumber Lemon Water
Description
This Cucumber Lemon Water combines thinly sliced lemon and cucumber in a pitcher with cold water, then chills for at least an hour to release flavors. The lemon provides bright acidity while the cucumber contributes a cool, fresh note. Light mashing with a spoon can enhance the infusion by releasing more juice and aroma from the fruits and vegetables.
The water is best consumed the same day to enjoy freshness but can be refrigerated safely for up to three days without significant loss of flavor. The recipe suggests variations such as adding extra lemons, fresh mint leaves, or replacing still water with sparkling water for additional flavor and texture.
