Cucumber Mint Lemonade

This Cucumber Mint Lemonade blends fresh lemon juice, sugar, mint leaves, and cucumber to deliver a refreshing and lightly sweetened beverage. Heating the lemon juice with sugar, cucumber, and half the mint infuses those flavors before straining. The addition of sliced cucumber, lemon, and fresh mint leaves after cooling adds brightness and crisp herbal notes, creating a balanced drink suitable for hydration or warm-weather refreshment.

Description

The recipe for Cucumber Mint Lemonade starts by combining chopped cucumber, lemon juice, sugar, and half of the fresh mint leaves in a saucepan over medium heat. This gentle cooking dissolves the sugar and extracts flavor from the cucumber and mint. The infused mixture is strained to remove solids, yielding a clear, flavory syrup base.

Once strained, the mixture is combined in a pitcher with six cups of water (still or sparkling) plus sliced cucumber, lemon, and the remaining fresh mint leaves. Stirred together, these fresh ingredients add brightness, visual appeal, and additional tastiness without overpowering. The resulting lemonade is lightly sweet, citrusy, and herbaceous with a subtle cucumber freshness that cools the palate.

Chilled before serving, this homemade lemonade is a pleasant accompaniment to meals or an easy homemade soda alternative during warm days.
