Cucumber Tomato Avocado Salad

This Cucumber Tomato Avocado Salad brings together fresh Roma tomatoes, English cucumber, red onion, and creamy avocado, combined with cilantro and dressed lightly with olive oil and lemon juice. The salad offers a refreshing, crisp texture balanced by the smooth avocado, with bright citrus notes from lemon juice. It’s a versatile side dish that complements many meals, particularly during warm weather when fresh produce is at its peak.

Description

Cucumber Tomato Avocado Salad blends diced Roma tomatoes and avocado with sliced cucumber, red onion, and chopped cilantro. The components are gently tossed with extra virgin olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice, which provide a light, tangy dressing. Sea salt and black pepper added just before serving enhance the natural flavors without overwhelming the salad's delicate freshness. This combination yields a crisp yet creamy texture with a slight zing from the lemon and a mild herbal note from cilantro. Adjustments such as substituting fresh dill for cilantro are suggested for taste preferences.

The salad works well as a side for grilled dishes or light lunches. Its fresh ingredients and simple dressing make it a quick option for a healthy accompaniment. Serving immediately after seasoning preserves the texture and flavor integrity of the avocado and vegetables.

As noted, fresh dill can replace cilantro for those who prefer a different herbal flavor. The salad should be tossed with salt and pepper just before serving to avoid sogginess.
