Curry Chicken Salad with Celery
Description
This chicken salad begins with seasoning and cooking chicken breast slices by frying, grilling, or baking. Once cooled, the chicken is diced and mixed with a sauce prepared by blending finely chopped celery, curry powder, mayonnaise, and chopped basil leaves.
The celery contributes a fresh crunch, while the curry powder adds gentle warmth and complexity. The basil provides a light herbal brightness to the creamy, spiced sauce. Served over salad greens, this dish offers a balanced mix of textures and flavors, ideal for a light lunch or picnic option.
Ingredients
- 200 g chicken breast
- 100 g celery
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 5 basil leaves
- 1 salad greens mix
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breast and season with salt and pepper and cook: either fry, grill or bake.
- Once cooked, leave it to cool a little and then cut it into cubes.
- For the sauce, clean and chop the celery finely in a blender.
- Mix it with the curry powder, mayonnaise, and the finely chopped basil.
- Toss the chicken cubes in the sauce and serve on a bed of salad mix.
