Curtido

El curtido es un condimento salvadoreño hecho de col y zanahorias en vinagre con especias, que a menudo se sirve con pupusas.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cabeza cabbage rallado, Spanish: de repollo
  • 1 carrot rallada, Spanish: zanahoria grande
  • ½ onion en rodajas
  • 100 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 50 ml water
  • ½ cucharadita salt
  • 1 cucharadita oregano seco (dry in Spanish
  • 1 cucharadita red bell pepper picado

Instructions

  1. Escalde la col en agua hirviendo durante 1 minuto.
  2. Mezcle la col, la zanahoria y la cebolla en un tazón grande.
  3. Combine los ingredientes restantes en un tazón y luego, vierta encima la mezcla de repollo y revuelva.
  4. Cubra y refrigere durante, por lo menos, 2 horas, preferiblemente de 6 a 8 horas antes de servir.
