Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cauliflower cut into florets, head
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower in half and then cut into florets.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl add the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Add the milk and whisk until combined.
  3. In a large pot, add the oil about 3 inches up the sides. Heat the oil to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also use a deep fryer if you desire.
  4. Dip each floret into the batter and remove excess by shaking with a fork. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Add the florets with tongs to the hot oil. Fry for about 4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
