Deep Fried Olives Recipe

The Deep Fried Olives Recipe turns garlic-stuffed olives into a crispy snack by coating them in beaten egg and seasoned Italian breadcrumbs before frying quickly in hot oil. Paired with a garlicky mayonnaise-based aioli, this preparation offers a crunchy, flavorful bite with a creamy dipping sauce suitable for appetizers or snacks.

Description

This recipe uses garlic-stuffed olives drained from their jar, coated first in beaten egg, then Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. The olives are fried in olive oil heated to 350°F for around 45 seconds until golden and crispy. The quick frying preserves the olive's briny flavor while adding a crunchy breaded crust.

The accompanying garlic aioli is made with mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper, chilled before serving. The aioli's sharp garlic taste complements the fried olives and adds moisture.

This dish is served warm, ideal as an appetizer or snack. The quick frying time helps maintain olive texture while providing a crisp exterior. A substitute for the egg wash can be used to accommodate egg-free diets.
