Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Stir together the white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Pour half the melted butter into the bottom of a baking dish and set the remaining butter aside.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and place 2-3 apple slices on the bottom of each triangle.
- Roll up the dough around the apple slices and place each crescent in the buttered dish.
- Brush the rolls with the remaining butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 18 to 22 minutes, until the crescent rolls are golden brown. Or air fry at 320 degrees F for 8-10 minutes
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Don't overfill the dumplings. Overfilling the dumplings can cause them to leak or burst open in the oven, which is a sticky mess nobody wants to deal with.
- Brushing the dumplings with melted butter and sprinkling them with cinnamon sugar gives them that gorgeous golden-brown color and irresistible flavor, so don't skip it.
- These dumplings are best served fresh from the oven while still warm and gooey. Leftovers will not be quite the same as fresh ones.
