Denver Steak
Description
The Denver Steak is prepared starting with bringing the steak to room temperature and patting it dry. Seasoning evenly with sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder ensures balanced flavor throughout the meat. Cooking in hot avocado oil over medium heat sears the steak, forming a crust while maintaining juiciness inside as it cooks for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Using a meat thermometer helps achieve the desired doneness.
After cooking, resting the steak allows juices to redistribute for a more tender bite. A finishing touch of softened butter blended with minced garlic and fresh herbs adds richness and fresh aromatics when served atop the steak. This method keeps the steak simple, letting its natural flavor shine with a mild, complementary garlic herb accent.
Resting the steak properly and checking doneness with a thermometer are key steps. The optional garlic herb butter enhances flavor but can be omitted or altered depending on preference. Leftovers store well refrigerated for up to four days and reheat gently to preserve texture.
