Detox Immune Boosting Vegetable Herb Broth

Ingredients

  • 64 ounce vegetable broth low sodium
  • 3 garlic peeled, cloves
  • 1 Turmeric fresh, 1-inch piece, peeled
  • 1 ginger fresh, 1-inch piece, peeled
  • 3 oregano fresh, sprigs
  • 3 thyme sprigs, fresh
  • 3 sage sprigs, fresh
  • 1 lemon cut in four pieces
  • 2 teaspoon black peppercorns whole
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper see note
  • salt sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring all of the ingredients to a boil and reduce the heat to simmer. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Strain the broth into a large bowl or container with a fine mesh strainer. This will separate the solid ingredients from the broth.
  3. Enjoy!

Notes

  • The Nutrition Facts are an estimate only. If you don’t like spicy food, omit the cayenne pepper or add to taste. Makes 8 (1 cup) servings. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
