Detox Water
Description
This Detox Water recipe layers sliced orange, lime, lemon, cucumber, fresh ginger, and mint leaves in a large container filled with ice. Water is added to fill about a gallon, and the blend is allowed to steep for at least 45 minutes to develop gentle flavors. The citrus provides tang and brightness, the cucumber adds a cool, crisp note, ginger contributes a mild peppery warmth, and mint offers freshness.
The drink is served chilled as a low-calorie, tasty alternative to plain water, supporting hydration with subtle fruit and herb essence. The infused water can last in the refrigerator for up to three days, during which the jug can be refilled multiple times until the flavors diminish.
To avoid bitterness, citrus peels are often removed after a day, though leaving them longer remains safe to drink. The softened fruits and vegetables from this infusion can be consumed if desired, adding a small snack aspect to the beverage.
