Deviled Eggs Recipe

These deviled eggs are a classic appetizer featuring hard-boiled eggs filled with a creamy mixture of egg yolk, mayonnaise, and yellow mustard. The smooth filling is seasoned with salt and pepper, then topped with a sprinkle of paprika for a subtle smoky touch and attractive color. Chilling before serving helps the flavors meld and gives a refreshing coolness that balances the richness.

Description

The Deviled Eggs Recipe starts with hard boiling eggs for 10 minutes to achieve a firm yolk and tender white. After cooling in ice water to stop cooking and ease shell removal, the eggs are halved lengthwise. The yolks are scooped out and mixed with mayonnaise and yellow mustard, seasoned simply with salt and pepper. This mixture is spooned back into the egg whites, creating a creamy, tangy filling. A light dusting of paprika on top adds a hint of flavor and visual contrast. The eggs are best served chilled, offering a smooth and rich bite with bright accents from the mustard and paprika.

This straightforward method produces a familiar appetizer that complements a family meal or party spread. The balance of creamy, tangy, and slightly peppery provides a satisfying texture contrast between the firm egg white and silky yolk filling. Best eaten fresh from the fridge, these deviled eggs pair well alongside other finger foods or as a snack on their own.
