Dill Pickle Pasta Salad
Description
The Dill Pickle Pasta Salad recipe calls for cooking medium pasta shells al dente, cooling them, then soaking briefly in pickle juice to impart pickle flavor into the pasta itself. The mix of sliced pickles, diced cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and fresh dill contributes various textures and layers of flavor, balancing creamy, tangy, and savory notes. The dressing brings together mayonnaise, sour cream, dill pickle juice, and cayenne pepper for subtle heat and tanginess.
The salad is tossed thoroughly with all ingredients and chilled for at least an hour, enabling the flavors to meld. This versatile pasta salad pairs well with barbecues or as a picnic side dish, offering a different take on traditional pasta salads with its dill pickle emphasis.
