The dirty martini, a variant of the dry martini, takes its name from the olive brine that gives it a greenish and cloudy appearance.

Ingredients
- 1 oz. dry gin
- ¼ oz. vermouth
- ⅔ oz. olive brine from green olives
- green olives to garnish, stuffed with red pepper
- lemon peel , to garnish
- 5 ice cubes
Equipment
- shaker
- Cocktail strainer
- Martini glass
Instructions
- Add the ice cubes to a shaker.
- Pour over the dry gin, vermouth and olive brine.
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Place the strainer on the shaker, then pour the content into the martini glass (discard the ice cubes).
- Finish by adding the garnishes (lemon peel and olives)
