Dirty Martini Dip

If you love a dirty martini, you’ll love this creamy, dirty martini dip made with olives, gorgonzola cheese, and a touch of gin or vodka. It’s perfect for entertaining!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup gin (or vodka - whatever the alcohol is for your martini of choice!)
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt don’t use fat-free here, plain, whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise light
  • ½ cup martini olives plus more for garnish, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons olive brine martini
  • ½ tsp black pepper fresh cracked
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup gorgonzola cheese (or blue cheese, plus optional more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Add olive oil to a small saute over medium heat; add onions & salt. Saute until browned but still with a bite. Add alcohol of your choice and cook out until almost dry. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a medium bowl combine Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, olives, olive brine, black pepper & sauteed onions, add gorgonzola.
  3. Spoon dip into a dish; top with lemon zest and olives.
  4. Serve with crudites and your favorite cracker or chip!

Notes

  • Green olives stuffed with a pimento are ideal but other green olives likecastelvetrano or manzanilla work just fine. 
  • Serve with your favorite pretzels, chips or crunchy crudites like endive,cucumber or radish.
  • Yield: 3 cups
