Dorito Chicken Tenders

Dorito Chicken Tenders feature chicken breast strips coated in crushed Doritos for a crunchy, flavorful crust. The chicken is dipped in an egg and milk wash before pressing into the Dorito crumbs, then baked until cooked through. The crunchy coating provides a textured contrast to the tender chicken inside, making it a fun, flavorful baked alternative to traditional fried tenders. Serving with ranch or sour cream complements the savory spice of the Doritos.

Description

This recipe transforms boneless skinless chicken breasts into crispy baked tenders by coating them in finely crushed Doritos after an egg and milk dip. Baking at 400°F crisps the chip coating while cooking the chicken through. The crushed Doritos add distinctive seasoning and color to the exterior, making these tenders flavorful and crunchy without frying.

The method involves cutting the chicken into uniform strips for even cooking, followed by dipping each strip in the egg mixture to help the Dorito coating adhere. The tenders are arranged on a foil-lined pan and lightly sprayed with cooking spray to aid browning during baking. Cooking times ensure the chicken stays juicy inside while the coating crisps evenly.

These tenders highlight the Dorito flavor and texture, making them a snack or meal item that pairs well with dips such as ranch dressing or sour cream. This approach offers an easy way to bring a familiar chip flavor into a protein dish with straightforward ingredients and preparation steps.
