Dorito Dip

This Dorito Dip combines cottage cheese with diced tomatoes, avocado, corn, and green onions, seasoned lightly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The result is a creamy, chunky dip with fresh vegetable flavors that pairs well with crunchy Nacho Cheese Doritos. It’s quick to prepare and serves as a cool, textured accompaniment to chips or raw vegetables.

Description

The recipe mixes creamy cottage cheese with juicy diced tomatoes and ripe avocado, adding sweetness and crunch through corn and green onions. Garlic powder, salt, and pepper season the mixture modestly. The ingredients are combined gently to maintain some chunkiness alongside smoothness. This dip suits casual snacking, especially with flavored Doritos such as Nacho Cheese, which complement its creaminess.

Serving suggestions include pairing with chips or raw veggies for dipping. The mix can be smoothed further using a food processor for a more uniform texture.

Stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, this dip keeps fresh for 3 to 5 days. Before serving leftovers, stirring restores texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 ounce canister cottage cheese
  • 2 tomato diced
  • 2 avocado diced
  • 1/2 cup corn drained, canned
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Spoon cottage cheese into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Add the tomatoes, avocados, corn, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Serve with Doritos ( I like it best with "Nacho Cheese Doritos").

Notes

  • Store dip in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days to maintain freshness.
  • Stir the dip well before serving leftover portions to redistribute flavors and textures.
  • For a smoother consistency, use a food processor to blend the ingredients evenly.
  • Pair the dip best with Nacho Cheese Doritos but it also works well with other chips or raw vegetables.
