Ingredients
- 4 ounces can pork and beans
- 8-12 lices Bacon cooked, chopped
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper diced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
- salt and black pepper to taste
- parsley or green onion for garnish is optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl combine all the ingredients. Stir gently until mixed well.
- Pour into a large oven-proof skillet or 9x13 baking dish.
- Bake for up to 2 hours. The length of baking time depends on how you like your beans. If you like a thicker, stickier bean leave it in 2 or more hours. If you like saucier beans then 1 ½ hour might be more to your liking.
- Remove from oven and serve!
Notes
- For your slow cooker just pour the combined mixture into your slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
