Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl
Description
In this recipe, frozen pitaya smoothie packets and frozen banana chunks are blended with almond butter and unsweetened vanilla almond milk to create a brightly colored, fruit-forward smoothie bowl. The tamper function helps to blend the thick, frozen ingredients into a smooth consistency without watering down the mixture.
The finished bowl's texture supports an array of fresh and crunchy toppings such as sliced banana, shredded coconut, granola, and berries that add flavor and variety in each bite. The use of almond butter adds subtle creaminess and mild nuttiness.
Serve immediately after blending to enjoy the fresh, chilled fruit flavors and the satisfying textures of the toppings. Adjust almond milk quantity to control thickness based on preference.
Ingredients
- 2 pitaya smoothie mix Pitaya Plus Smoothie packets
- 1 banana in chunks, frozen
- 1/2 Tablespoon almond butter
- 1/2 cup almond milk unsweetened vanilla
- banana banana sliced, coconut shredded, granola homemade, for topping
- berries
- coconut
- granola
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients except toppings into a blender.
- Blend until smooth, using the tamper on your blender to help move the frozen fruit around. You shouldn't need to but you can add more almond milk if the mixture is too thick to process. Remember it's a smoothie bowl so you want it plenty thick!
- Scoop into a bowl. Sprinkle on toppings and enjoy immediately.
