Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 (16 ounce) rotini pasta uncooked, package
  • 2 (15 ounce) Manwich Original Sloppy Joe Sauce canned
  • 3 cups water
  • 16 ounces meatball fully-cooked miniature bite-size, thaw before use if frozen
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • tomato optional garnish, sliced or diced
  • olive
  • avocado
  • green onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F (220C). Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In prepared dish (or in a separate bowl), stir together uncooked pasta, Sloppy Joe Sauce, water, and meatballs. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  3. Uncover; stir. At this point you should check the pasta to make sure that it is al dente (firm but just about finished cooking). If it’s still too hard, cover the dish and return to the oven until pasta is al dente. Then move on to the next step.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top and bake uncovered for 5-10 more minutes (or until cheese is melted and pasta is tender).
  5. Garnish with optional toppings just before serving.

Notes

  • Cooking for a Smaller Family? You can easily cut the ingredients in half and prepare the meal in an 8-inch square baking dish.
