Dunkin Donuts Omelet Bites

Dunkin Donuts Omelet Bites are baked, bite-sized egg snacks combining eggs with cottage cheese, Monterey Jack, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits. These omelet bites provide a convenient, savory breakfast option with a tender texture and pronounced cheesy flavor.

Description

The recipe blends eggs and cottage cheese with shredded Monterey Jack cheese and salt until smooth, folding in cheddar cheese and bacon bits before baking. The mixture is portioned into muffin or donut pans to create individual, uniformly shaped bites. Baking at 350°F yields firm but tender omelet bites that spring back when pressed, indicating doneness.

These can be served immediately for a warm breakfast or snack. Some like to add extra cheddar cheese on top and briefly broil to melt it for a cheesier crust. The omelet bites hold their shape well and offer a portable, protein-rich option that captures the combined flavors of three cheeses and smoky bacon.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 egg
  • 4 tablespoons cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup Monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese plus extra, if desired, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits real

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a blender, combine the eggs, cottage cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and salt. Puree until it is a uniform mixture. Then add the cheddar cheese and bacon bits and pulse a few times.
  3. Spray muffin or donut pans with non-stick spray.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the pans. If using the donut-shaped tins, fill the rings until they are almost full; otherwise, the omelet bites will be oddly shaped. This does not matter on muffin tins.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the omelet bites spring back when touched.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and remove the omelet bites from the tins. Serve immediately, or, if desired, you can sprinkle some cheddar cheese on top and place the bites under the broiler until the cheddar cheese melts.

Notes

  • Use a muffin pan if a donut pan is unavailable for shaping these omelet bites.
