Earl Grey Milk Tea
Description
The recipe provides instructions for cold Earl Grey Milk Tea including preparing tapioca pearls and a brown sugar syrup made from muscovado sugar boiled with water. The syrup is combined with cooked tapioca and ice cubes in glasses, topped with milk and strongly brewed Earl Grey tea. The tea can be brewed in advance for enhanced flavor. Alternatively, the warm Earl Grey Milk Tea is made by simmering milk with muscovado sugar and one to two Earl Grey tea bags until the milk takes on a lightly brown color, then divided into mugs.
Both drinks showcase the aromatic citrus notes from the Earl Grey tea balanced with creamy milk and rich brown sugar syrup or infused sweetness. The cold version optionally includes chewy tapioca pearls, popular in bubble tea. This recipe suits those who enjoy a distinctive flavored tea drink either chilled or warm, with simple ingredients.
An estimated calorie count is given for the warm milk tea, useful for dietary awareness.
