Easiest French Toast
Description
The Easiest French Toast recipe uses rich bread slices like brioche, challah, or French bread to soak up a custard mixture made from eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. The bread absorbs the seasoned liquid, creating a soft interior that crisps gently at the edges when fried. Cooking over low heat with unsalted butter allows the toast to brown slowly while developing a delicate, sweet spice flavor.
The texture highlights a tender center with a lightly crisped surface, accented by the warmth of cinnamon and vanilla. The cooking method is simple, requiring only dipping and frying in butter, allowing home cooks to achieve consistent golden results.
Serve the French Toast finished with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar to complement its mild custard richness. It suits a relaxed breakfast or brunch and pairs nicely with fresh berries or maple syrup.
