Easter Cookie Bars

When you want a simple Easter dessert, Easter Cookie Bars is a great option. These vanilla flavored blondies are packed with Easter M&Ms and are simple to make. These blondies are a great alternative to traditional brownies.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 ½ cup M&Ms divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Line a 9x13 baking sheet or glass pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
  3. With a fork, beat butter and brown sugar until mixed well.
  4. Add egg and vanilla and continue mixing.
  5. Next, add in salt and baking powder.
  6. Slowly stir in flour.
  7. Fold in 1 Cup of M&Ms and spread batter on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-22 minutes until center dough is done.
  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining M&Ms (press them into the cookie)
  10. Let cookie bars cool completely before cutting.
