Easy 10 Minute Garlic Broccoli

Garlic Broccoli features fresh or frozen broccoli florets sautéed with garlic and seasoned with onion and garlic powders. Simmering with vegetable stock gives the broccoli a tender texture and rich flavor while retaining some bite. This quick preparation makes a versatile side dish that complements many meals.

Description

Easy 10 Minute Garlic Broccoli relies on olive oil and fresh garlic to infuse the broccoli florets with savory notes. The cooking process involves sautéing garlic briefly for its aroma, then coating the broccoli in the garlic oil. Adding onion powder, garlic powder, and vegetable stock introduces depth to the flavor and helps soften the broccoli when covered and steamed. The method ensures the broccoli is cooked through yet continues to offer slight crispness, making it a pleasant texture contrast.

This garlic broccoli is an adaptable side suitable for pairing with a range of main courses, including meats, grains, or pasta dishes. The fresh garlic flavor is prominent but balanced by the stock. Adjusting garlic and onion powder amounts allows customization to taste.

Frozen broccoli can be used as an alternative to fresh; reduce the amount of stock needed and extend steaming time accordingly to accommodate the extra moisture. Adding red pepper flakes can introduce a mild heat if desired.
